Recipe tips
You can add raisins into the rice pudding.
1. In a cooking pot put 200 ml of water, add 250 g of rice and half a litre of milk. Add salt and let the rice boil until soft, while stirring from time to time.

2. Meanwhile separate the egg yolks from the whites and add 4 spoons of sugar (one by one) into the egg yolks. Mix until foamy.

3. Beat the egg whites and add one pack of vanilla sugar.

4. When the rice is soft, remove it from the fire. Pour the egg yolk mixture into it and stir continuously.

5. After a few minutes add the beaten egg and stir.

6. Pour the rice pudding into a buttered heat resistant dish and put in a preheated oven (180° C) for about 25 minutes. If the top is not well done you can leave it until 30 minutes.

7. Serve warm or cold as a dessert or as a one dish meal.
