You can use red bell pepper or pimento for a colourful brochette.
1.
Slice the onions into thick rings and the potatoes into round slices. Dice the bacon and the chicken leg (sprinkle salt onto the chicken leg) and slice the hot dog sausage and the pepper.
2.
Take the skewer and add each ingredient one by one: a slice of potato, a slice of chicken leg, an onion ring, a slice of sausage and a slice of pepper. You will get about 8-10 brochettes.
3.
Preheat the grill and roast the brochettes for about 50 minutes.
Variations
Other ingredients you can use are: cutlet, veal chops (it's important to use young cattle's meat), pumpkin, round sliced tomatoes, eggplant, cucumber, kohlrabi. If you have special tastes you can try pineapples which go very well with the chicken.
